Broadcast open captions for pre-written scripts

[WIP] I recently ran the Twitch stream for the 2022 Bay Area Solstice event, which included live music and speeches. We wanted the stream to have captions so that people at home could follow along even if they couldn’t hear everything perfectly for whatever reason–be it the speaker not leaning into the mic, song lyrics being hard to make out, hard of hearing, etc. Although we would’ve preferred closed captions, I couldn’t quite figure that out in time for the event, so we went for open “hardcoded” captions for the live event with the intention of uploading a closed caption version to Youtube afterwards.

Arm Packer

Packer for ARM images I have a raspberry pi that I want to use for various microservices on my local network, but I want to use Fedora instead of the usual Debian-based distributions more widely supported by the community. As it turns out, the base Fedora Server image for ARM has a lot of old packages that need to be updated, and I hate sitting around watching updates spin on my raspberry pi when I could do dnf upgrade -y on a more powerful machine beforehand and bake it into the image I load onto a microSD card. While at it, I can install Docker and any other prerequisites that’ll be common across the multiple pis I have so that provisioning becomes a lot easier.
